Talvinder Atwal, 24, has been jailed for two rapes, assault by penetration, strangulation, two sexual assaults and coercive control. The judge classed him as a dangerous offender.

• Swansea Crown Court heard Talvinder, who lives in Britton Ferry, took pleasure in the victim’s distress.

• He was given 14 years in custody plus three years on licence.
