Nottingham …
The NHS trust that was responsible for the care of the #Nottingham attacks killer #ValdoCalocane is now at the centre of a corporate manslaughter investigation.
Calocane, who was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia in 2020, was under the care of Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust for two years, but was discharged months before he killed three people in a spate of attacks in Nottingham in June 2023.
The trust has been heavily criticised since the attacks, and faced the scrutiny of a statutory public inquiry alongside other public bodies and individuals earlier this year.
Now, it is at the centre of a criminal investigation.
But what does corporate manslaughter mean, and what could it mean for the trust?
