Police investigating the murder of a woman in her 70s said her body was found in a black bin bag in a #Liverpool park.

A murder investigation was launched after officers found the woman's remains in the walled garden at Stanley Park, having been called by a member of the public on Friday at around 5.25pm.

In an update on Monday police said they had not been able to identify the woman as they appealed for more information.
