Saoirse Shannon disappeared from Barrow yesterday evening and police say they are growing increasingly concerned for the nine-year-old's welfare.

Saoirse Shannon was last seen on Schneider Road in Barrow at around 6.10pm on Friday.

She is described by police as white, around 4ft 7ins tall, with slim, shoulder-length hair.

When she disappeared, she was wearing a pink T-shirt featuring the Stitch character from Lilo & Stitch, a pink rainbow netted skirt, knee-length multi-coloured socks with rabbits on them and clear-coloured sandals.

Officers say they are concerned for Saoirse's welfare and are urging anyone who sees her to call 999 immediately

Anyone with information that could help find Saoirse is also asked to contact Cumbria Police online, quoting incident number 238 of July 17, 2026, or call 101.
