Masum Miah, 42, was found by officers at around 3am on Tuesday morning on St Bartholomew's Road, East Ham, after they responded to reports of gunshots.
He was found with gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the scene, the Metropolitan Police said. No arrests have yet been made. A man has been charged in connection with the terror attack at the Heaton Park synagogue in #Manchester last year.
Hekmat Omar Ali Hakim, 49, of St James Road, Higher Broughton, is accused of failing to disclose information about terrorist activity. Two people were killed in the 2 October attack. Jihad al Shamie, 35, a Syrian-born British citizen, drove into the gates of the synagogue, hitting a security guard, before attacking worshipper Melvin Cravitz with a knife.
